Alright, so this is my very first tutorial 
I hope it's helpful to SOMEBODY out there. This is just one of the many ways of doing some photo retouching. Not my best retouch ever, but I was mainly demonstrating different skills.
This was done in CS4, but older versions should work, as well as GIMP.
